Got home from fission a week or so ago and noticed after charging my batteries that my rear fishfinder a hummingbird 899 was on the start up screen. I pressed the button to turn it off it said shutting down and said that for 20 to 40 seconds or more. I disconnected the power away from it and went it. Next time I fished I noticed it would not go off at the ramp when loading. Disconnected power again. It's under warranty and I have read about voltage. No nic's or corrosion that I see. Hoping someone has info in this before I take it back to marina who installed.

Moved the 899 to the position that my 859 was in and now it won't do anything. Think unit is dead

curious as to age and hours on the unit ? a little real time testimony is better than a box full of advertisement .
Using it this week ( when it will turn on) and today it didn't want to turn on. I had noticed that when I taken my cards out they were wet. I took them out again today and wet again. Only had minimal rain on the unit. And cover on it also. But I loosened my ram mount and when I turned unit toward upside down a lot of water drained out of thr card holes. This unit is less than 4 months old and was installed by authorized humminbird Marina. Will be contacting humminbird Monday am.
