What a joult.
We were asleep in the bed with the pup about 4:30 am. A huge racket and the house moved. I thought someone had driven into the house. Lightening struck an oak some 40 feet from the house. Talk about a wake up. Heard more thunder around us so back to sleep we went.

Many years ago I was hunting in the bottoms. The clouds were rolling in and it became dark. The hair on my back and neck began to rise then lightening stuck a tree about 60 foot from my stand. It was about a mile back to my truck. I think I made it in 15 seconds.
