Default My yearly JP COLEMAN trip!

Got here late this afternoon got moved in and boat docked. We took the Family for a sun set cruise up the river marking fishing spots. Going to pull cranks first thing in the morning and jug fish tomorrow night.

    Home for a few days!

My daughters first time to drive the boat!

Think I found a good summertime catfish spot!

Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

Looks really nice. I'd have to check out those boat slips with a jig before I went anywhere else.

Well not a whole lot to report fishing wise yet! Today turned into more of a family swim, explore and grill out day. Did pull cranks a few hours this morning with no luck with crappie! Only stripe and largemouth. Crappie seemed a little deeper than the cranks were running and we didn't have enough time to to change over and add weight. Fish were 18 to 22ft down.
Did put out 5 jugs out of the 25 we brought tonight for a little while and caught 1 nice slimmer. Not enough hours in a day when your on vacation and everybody wants to do something different. I guess I better enjoy my 2 kids while I can it want be long and they both will be grown and gone.1 is already 21 and the other one 16.

We will get to hit our deep under water humps tomorrow for blue cat with rod and reel. Just don't know for how long! Lol. This vacation thing will wear you smooth out. Lol.
