I can thank my dad for the first 14 years he was around and introduced me a my brothers to fishing and hunting. Seem liked after my parents divorced (when I was 8) he stuck in for a few more years, but when the tough got going, he just was gone. I credit my mom for everything else besides the hunting and fishing, believe me she had the tougher job with 3 boys. So yes like Rees said, you guys were and some still are lucky to have those memories of fishing with your dad after your all grown up. My mom don't care for fishing, so I do the things she likes, so yes spend time with your dad or mom as much as you can.. and it don't have to be fishing although that's a good a time as any [emoji3]

Wannabe.. I was looking thru the home page yesterday morning and came across your story about Billy and the Kid, I started reading it yesterday morning and just completed it this morning. All I can say is WOW, you sure have some talent for writing and it was a great tribute to your fathers memory. I was glued to the story and cringed every time the phone rang, or I received a text or email. Lol, it probably cost me a few hundred dollars in missed service calls, but it was well worth it. For anyone who hasn't read this you don't know what your missing. I was trying to think of any Savages I remember from Grenada and the one that instantly stuck out in my cob webs of memory was a Mrs. Savage who was the warden over the in school suspension at Grenada Junior High, any relation to you? Again, thank you for the time and passion you put into that great story.. :HandsClapping
Last trip Dad and I made was May 21, 2012..His birthday..We went to Lamar Bruce..Kept 46 huge bream...I had to pick him up in my arms, walk out in the water, and set him in the boat....His ultralite still has half a cricket on it...Buried him 11/23, same year.
