I used my 12 volt ipilot for 3 years that way and never had a issue what so ever with batteries charging always fully charge by next morning and when I went to my 24 volt riptide ipilot I used the same 2 batteries but wire the in series and used them batteries for 3 more years with no trouble what so ever !!! but now I got the Ulterra with new batteries and loving it !!!

You must have a pretty big charger then

Drain 0ne battery before going to the second one. My start battery went bad while on the lake. A little rewiring and I was able to to head back to the ramp.
Some batteries will set up a memory. If not completely drained they won't recharge. On a charger they will show they are full, but will last very little time when in use. I have a single headlight that I hook to the battery after a few trips to drain them.
