Like Rees said, mine will hit if I back my trailer too deep.
If Ida had my druthers, I would have mounted mine like "G" did, but the Predator has the mounting place on the side. No trolling issues at all tho, just a little in the way of the SpyderLoks. However, I made a slide to alleviate that issue.Quote:

Yep....mine had a mounting plce on the side too.....but I removed it. I did mine this way so I dont have to move rod holders to deploy or stow the TM. And it keeps my TM from hitting roller on trailer when loading. Oh yeh....I have since seen the light and replaced those rod holders with SpyderLoks
I have a skeeter and I have the same problem. The MK bracket will not work on the skeeter because of size. You have to back down just enough and use the outboard to back off....it's a little tricky. I read on a forum of a great idea, and it works if there are two people. Let the other guy back you in and put your outboard in forward, and accelerate just a tad to keep the bow on the roller while its backing down. Once it is deep enough, just put it in neutral and back off...by then, the roller will be well below the bow. I broke a piece on my MK hitting the roller last year. It is a very aggravating problem on a lot of boats for sure.
Mine is mounted like G's and a little further to the left. Never noticed any real control issues.
I just put a Drotto Latch on my trailer so I can pull a rope and trip my bow eye release when the boat is as deep as I want it to be. I haven't got it adjusted perfectly yet but it sure saves some sore backs.Quote:

Mine is off center so it clears everything behind it on the deck when stowed. Never had a problem with how it tracks.
I went to my local machine shop had them make me a 5 inch tall aluminum bracket for mine I also helped on un latching it to deploy .
