    Default Boat pedestals

Anybody know what the standard length for one is? Mine are 14" and I think that's long.

Yes it is. 11 inches for normal people, and you and me are normal(I think). 13" would be for a tall guy.

Yep, I bought em long trying to keep the pressure off my knees. Thought I might now try some standard but didn't know what that was.

11" would be about right. Time you add the seat w/ the base, you're looking at another 3-4" depending on the seat you are using. I've found that if it's too high, your feet aren't flat on your deck, and it hurts your thigh behind your knees. I just replaced the pedestal on my front deck w/ a 11" because that's what the original pedestal was.

11 inch for shorter folks and 14-15 for taller folks. I used to keep a 11 in my boat for my fishing partner but he has decided he likes the taller one better now.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
