For a week I've had a pair of Canadian geese fly low over my house. If the chickens are out it scared them when they fly over.
On the side of the driveway there is an old shed, 6 poles and a flat roof. The owner had a swing under it. I've used it for storing firewood. Half of the roof fell in so I planned to tear it down.
Nope, there's a goose sitting on the flat part. Been in the same spot for 3 days. I guess there's a nest and will have little ones in 21 days or so.

Wifey hates them Canadian Honkers. They chase her in the parking lot when she used to get to work early. She joking says she tries to run them over cause they chase her. And they poop all over the place too. Just too many of them, so they move in everywhere possible.
We have more of them on this golf course by the house than Canada has!![]()

When the kids were little mom would call. Come on down, we'll have green eggs and ham for breakfast. They were mallard eggs.
Yesterday morning I saw a little one moving around the parent on the nest. A bit later I saw a second one. The parent would move off the nest some and I saw 3 more eggs. Before we left to keep the granddaughters I placed a pan of wet chicken feed on the roof. I called the lady, she was here this morning and the geese weren't there. Guess they are making their way to the pond that's 1/4 mile away.
