As long as it remains a civil discussion its ok.....and so far it has.......sometimes its best tho to just agree to disagree, been some good points brought out on this thread tho.......we all are friends and we all like to fish even if some disagree on some things.

You can't follow high water anywhere you want. You have to stay on Corps boundary. You can go up the river but must stay in the banks. It's your responsibility to know where you are. I know from personal experience. I used to own a house on stilts and owned land all the way to the river. When the water was high you couldn't come fish in my yard, same difference.

True. Property lines dont just "magically" disappear when they are flooded. If so, those guys up at Beartail would not have bought it for duck hunting cause the whole world would be in there.

got a friend who is catching a limit about every time he go's one pole skulling back water somewhere seen pics and they are hawgs they are there for sure and I say if your boat will float on it fish it

A while back John posted a picture of the SVRR trestle on Turkey creek. Before looking at a map I sent an email to MDWFP. I asked if the area was in the nader lake 12" limit or the state's 10" limit. The agent replied, there is no 10" state limit. I sent a link for all the limits over the state. His reply was, looks like you found your answer.

How long did it take you to get a reply? I still haven't received a response yet from the MDWFP. Not very reassuring when the people who enforce the rules on you aren't too sure themselves. I play it safe and stick to the 12" length limit anywhere on the lake, but it would be nice to know where the law stands on these issues. :twocents

Here's another picture of it from the boat. To answer your question on regs, if you are on back waters of the big 4 you better go by the rules of that lake. Even at winter pool they will write you a ticket for a short fish at that trussle.
