    Default Helix 7/Lakemaster Problem

I recently bought a Humminbird Helix 7/DI GPS Combo, along with a Lakemaster Southeast States Map Card, version 3. Okatibbee is listed as a high definition survey. My unit will display the map of Okatibbee but only when zoomed out. If I try to zoom in or move the cursor to another part of the lake, the screen goes white with a small message in the corner saying loading chart. This happens at home while in simulator mode as well as while sitting on the lake. While on the phone with Humminbird, they hooked up a Helix 7, inserted the Lakemaster card and had the same problems. Also, while in simulator mode, I looked at Grenada Lake and everything worked fine. EZ tried loading Okatibbee on his Helix 10 and after about a minute it loaded. It's in the hands of Humminbird so we'll see what's done.

Bet it is something they will end up sending out an update on, how do you like the unit other than that.

Rees, I"ll jump in on that. I had a Lowrance bass tournament fisherman in my boat yesterday. He saw the definition and clarity on my Helix 10 and said he never got structure clarity on his Lowrance Gen 2 10s that good. I showed some pics I took of my screen on the Helix 10 on a previous trip to another Lowrance guy who recently switched from HB. He said if he had known they were coming out with the Helix DI that was that good, he wouldn't have switched.

I know I couldn't be happier with mine. My transducer is mounted on one of Podunk Ideas da'ducer apparatuses.

I love the unit. I converted my weigh points from the Lowrance format to the Humminbird format and loaded them onto the Helix. I can now see what I've been fishing around with the down imaging. Something with the Okatibbee map on the card just doesn't work. The engineering dept. at Humminbird is looking at it.
