    Default Trolling motor question

I been out looking at trolling motors and I'm confused. Why would anybody pay more for a heavier motor. The one I have now says its 43lbs. Why do the ones that weigh 80lbs cost twice as much. Why not just add a couple bags of sand to the front of you're boat? It would save you some money for sure. And who in they right mind gonna spend over $1000.00 for a motor that weights over 100lbs? Heck, I doubt I could even pick one of them heavy jokers up.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

8 replies and not one straight answer. Guess I'm on to something.
