My son checked the community codes where he lives. Nothing against having chickens, just goats and other animals. When his rooster got loud they changed the codes. He got rid of them before a $100 per bird fine was imposed.

A couple of our local townships have made it legal to have up to 5 chickens in a coop in the backyard. However no Roosters are permitted for the same reason your son's became a persona not grata.
Isnt a Rooster also a chicken?
Yes, but all chickens are not equal in the eyes of the law. :Rofl
Wish I had chickens. Don't mind a rooster either. Heck the alarm on my phone is a rooster crow lol. Hardly a better way to wake up in the am.

A few years ago I bought a brand new 6.5 hp Briggs engines for a push mower. I used 15 gallons of gas with it without a problem. Now I have to remove the new air filter to crank it.
On a full moon cycle a rooster will crow when it wants to for over 60 hours. The other days 4 to 4:30 am is a start of the day. Sounds like Ben Franklin, a 4:30 am to 11 pm man.
