    Default pretty good crappie show

Found this on fb. At the 25 minute mark Hackney catches a big green carp on a decent sized crappie. At the 19:40 point in the show, I was surprised to see Wally keep an illegally snagged fish, after being informed it was illegal....

    Pretty well done show though...

That was pretty cool on the bass eating the crappie. I was bass fishing one day from the bank and hooked maybe 2 lbs and while fighting it up to the bank a bass I swear was over 10 lbs came up and grabbed it. I fought it a minute or two and it finally got off. Sucker was huge. Amazing how big a bait fish can eat. Why I laugh at people who say the super jigs I use are too big. Crazy.

Joe sent me that link yesterday, pretty cool. Did not see the snagged fish, though.

It was a good show, I've seen a 7-8lb bass grab a crappie like that back when we used to cork n minnow deep structure in the summer... He came off at top of water... It's amazing what they will eat

Had A 10# bass eat a 1# crappie off my jig once. Couldn't believe it! Never forget it.

Good show. Never had a bass inhale a crappie before. Liked the way ole Wally used his head to get it outta the bass.

    That was a cool video.

Bass eat Crappie and Bream like crazy!!

I've caught bass w Crappie sticking out of their gullet several times, and Bream in the gullet MANY times!!

I had a big Bass (8-9 lb range) almost eat a Bream off of my hook one time, and I also caught a bass on a flipping jig one time with 2 bream tails hanging out of his throat, and still feeding- that fish was only about a 4 lbr too

People look at swimbaits in the 5-8" range for bass and think they are too big to fish here (as opposed to trout stocked lakes in Cali), but I can tell you firsthand, 3-5 lbrs (and larger too) will hit those baits, that is what they are eating down there already!!
If you like to Bass fish, grab a Mattlures Bluegill and fish it around the Bream beds right now, you might be surprised what you can catch. He makes a Crappie swimbait too, but I haven't fished it.
I can't say they'll eat the Trout patterns here, never tried, but Bream, Bass, Crappie, Shad, yessir.

Saw my son reeling in a big bream and a 5 pounder hit right at the boat. It came off as he was lifting it in. The water was clear and we looked down and the bass was still there. Dropped it right back in, slammed it again, and got it in the boat. One to remember.

I was bream fishing a pond one time on the bank around some tight trees and hooked a bream and as soon as I pulled it out of the water a big water moccasin grabbed it and wasn't about to let it go. Needless to say, I had to pull it up on the bank and smack it a few times with a big stick. Scared the heck out of me. It was just so close to me and reacted so fast to that fish coming out of the water.
