    Default Looking for '80-'85 truck

Preferably with less than 500k miles and at least one good seat. Doesn't matter which side. A motor would be nice and I prefer it to have at least one forward fear working.

Dang these new trucks is HIGH! I don't see how anybody who doesn't work for the government affords em. To heck with it. I'm gonna make retro-redneck chic again.

I was looking at a late 80's early 90's truck before I bought mine. Heck I could buy a new motor and trans every year cheaper than making payments.

I had to back up a few years. Here what I'm running into. Found a good looking 2011 4 door z71 LT with a few extras and 68k miles. It was black, which is my least favorite color and the guy wanted 24.5 OBO for it. Because it was black, I offered the guy 21 for it. He actually laughed at me and said that just because it had a rebuilt title doesn't mean he was giving it away. ??? So a rebuilt 4 year old truck with 70k miles in a crappy color is 24k??? I obviously am out of touch with the used truck market.

Get you a 96 f150 with a 302 in it for about 3000. One of the last best looking trucks out there sets level and that's one fine motor. Ain't no way Iam going to drop a dime over 20k for a truck to take me to work and to the woods and to the lake. Same goes for those mortgages they put on the boats these days and 4 wheelers and side by sides.

Those used truck prices have followed the new truck prices right up the ladder. It's insane that anyone would pay 20 plus for one of them. I'm like Hotrod. Guys got 2 house notes in a truck and boat, just can't figure out how they do it. Guess they pay one this month and the next one the next month.

Cash for clunkers hasn't helped your search for a reasonably priced clunker.

when you get ready to go get one of these, I wanna go with you.. especially the ones in MT..
