You are the MAN/FISHERMAN you are because of your dad. That's what he wanted for you. My dad always supported my love of fishing and hunting. It took me awhile after he left this world for a better place to realize that when the tears would show up unexpectedly that they are tears of love not sorrow. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

Merry Christmas Jay, our prayers are with you and your family.
I stopped fishing when my father-in-law was so sick, it was a mistake and selfish on my part. It broke my heart when he would ask me how the fish were biting so I just didn't go and would tell him I hadn't been. He longed for the day he was on the water whether it was Grenada lake or just a small pasture pond, didn't matter to him. He's been gone 10 years now and so many times throughout each year I fish spots that were OUR spots, a tear will roll down my cheek as I remember the setting we shared and treasure each and every one of those memories. It won't get easier it will just get different, a huge part of YOU is gone but what is left behind is a HUGE part of your dad. You and I fished around the Eagle's nest at Scuna and I remember you sharing with me what your dad always said about the Eagle's nest, his memories lives on through you, a totally awesome thing indeed.
Hang tuff man, if you need anything or just someone to talk to you got the number.
John
