Default Spark Plugs for 2005 Mercury 125

Just making sure I ain't screwing up and buying the wrong ones. I just ordered a Compression tester and a Spark tester to start narrowing things down on the motor so I can get back to feshing. I did a search and found that the NGK BP8H-N-10 seems to be the right plugs. This was from the Mercury wensite. Is NGK a good brand? Before you ask, NO, I ain't at the house to check what's in it now. LOL

If wait on the compression tester. If u have low compression, u won't need new plugs and u can use the $ u save for the new motor. Your welcome.

Speaking of motors. You ever get everything back up and running?

NGKs are what you need to be running and that's a pretty standard Merc plug number so its most likely what you need. Why didn't you just get a compression tester at the parts house??? It will be more accurate if you crank the motor, if it will and let it warm up a little bit.

You could have got a compression gauge at Harbor Freight. You already have a spark tester.....just hold the end of the plug wire and hit the starter lol

I've done that before G. Ouch. The testers were cheaper online and it'll be next weekend before I can fool with it . Got the plugs coming also . $5.25 each
