Default Anyone on here familiar with the livewell setup in a G3 boat ? I think it is

the "Flowrite system" setup. I am trying to find out if my aerator is bad or if it will only work once I put the livewell selector on "auto" ? my selector for the livewell has "auto" "empty" & "recirculate", and I have read up on how to set it to "auto" to get the livewell to fill and how to empty it as well as how to and when to use the "recirculate" setting. If I turn my aerator to the "on" or "auto" position the aerator does not come on with no water in it. I fooled with it Saturday but cant remember it coming on but I didn't have much water in it.

not at all familiar with this set up, my other boat had a aerator on timer and would come on when set to "on" or would cycle when I set it to "cycle"

    thanks for info

    I do.

When you put the switch in auto, that means it will take in water from the lake and hold it in the live well, and will automatically fill from the pump until the level reaches the overflow at which point it becomes a water exchange system pumping fresh water in from the lake, and overflowing the old water out. The spay nozzle inside the live well will either need to be pushed in to pump from the lake into the live well, or it may need to be pulled out. If it isn't pumping into the live well now, do the opposite to it. If it pumps into the live well with the nozzle pushed in, it will pump out the live well with the nozzle pulled out. This is of course if the pump is working properly.

The recirculate will do what it says. If the live well is full and the switch is turned to recirq, the water will be pumped out of the live well and back through the spray nozzle to re oxygenate the water. The nozzle will stay in the same position (either in or out) as when filling the live well from the lake. This is used for carrying fish to the weigh in or to take them somewhere off the lake in the boat and keeping them alive. I use a plug to put in the overflow hole to keep the water in the live well from splashing out as you drive around to your destination.

The only time you change the nozzle position ( either in or out) is to pump out the live well which most guys with this setup do to fill their coolers to carry their fish to the weigh in alive.

Empty is to let the water out of the live well either back into the lake or where ever you want it out.

    Your welcome Larry.

I forgot to mention that a lot of people use the recirculation feature to keep their minnows alive after leaving the lake.

If you have an RV water filter, and a floating minnow bucket, you can fill the live well at home with the water hose, and put your bucket in the live well to keep your bait alive during transport to the lake with the recirculation feature also.
