Digital thermometer question

I have the desired temp set to 160* but the actual temp says 337*. What's up with that? Yes I did move the probe. And the actual temp inside the smoker is 225*.

hmmmm dunno....you got both pieces of the unit turned on ? I have mine stuck in a deer hind quarter right now and it appears to be working and reading just fine

Yes....each one of mine has a off on switch on the bottom

Tried that. Turned both on, then off for several minutes then back on. Same thing, up to 340* now.

reset them. Should be a little button that takes a paper clip tip to mash in

Had to order, and yes, pay for a new probe!!!!!!!!!

What kind you got ? Mine is disposable....15 bucks at walmart.....if it messes up I will just throw it away. Cooked a lot of stuff with it and still working fine.

Mine to. Runs within 2 degrees of the one on smoker.
