I've been experimenting on how to get an Arkie crankbait to run at a depth of a Bandit 300. I found that a 1/2 oz weight on the line 3 ft ahead of the Arkie does the trick. I got the mold from Do-It to pour the in-line trolling weights, like the larger pushing weights. Using 10 ft poles from the front of my boat, I had an Arkie crankbait with the 1/2 oz trolling weight on one side. On the other side I had a Bandit 300. Each pole tip was 1 ft from the surface. At 1.8 mph and with 40 ft of line out, both lines entered the water at the same distance back.![]()
