    Hey DD! Just how hot can you get that BGE? I'm considering getting one for the new house. I'll still use a Masterbuilt but am interested in the BGE for searing and grilling at high temps.

    Just regular I cN go 800-900. I can cheat n take my leaf blower coming in the bottom on low sand get 1100 or so.

    Ok, I'm wanting to get something in which I can do a Ruth's Chris style steak. That's the best restaurant steak I've ever had. I think they get there's up to 1200-1400 degrees or so.

    Yep, that's right. Not trying to knock Yank food, y'all got a few things going for ya. Philly cheese steaks, specialty sausages, cheeses and such.
