I have used spinner bait skirts and tied Trebbles with hair and rubber. Problem is having to remove hook and reinstall, not something I want to do on water. The Zipits are installed with hook on lure and colors can be changed in seconds or just removed. I have no association with them at all, just saw Bo was using them, looked them up and am really intrigued with the concept.
