Tried new one and then went and got another one and same thing, it must be something to do with the way the Attwood stern light and the G3 plug dont connect up correctly

Atwood ain't worth a flip! Never have had good luck with their stuff

Yep....about every brand has a different socket or plug style

Did you flip the switch the other way. It is a 3-way switch ain't it?

I did it is a 3 position as u say, I tried on Nav & Anchor, didn't work on either. I am going to do like was mentioned earlier in this thread & just cut it down to size and rewire it
