Yeah, I'm not real fond of tapatalk. You buy their ap and I get nothing from that. Then you use their ap to access my forum, and I get nothing from that cause I can't show any of my own ads not even ads from our big site sponsors. Then when I turn on tapatalk ads they share a whopping dollar a day with me, of all the revenue they receive for the ads they run on my site. I don't like them one bit because they share almost nothing with forum owners. Many other forums have turned tapatalk access to their forums completely off for this reason. I've not done that but I have turned off their ads. If they don't want to share revenue accordingly, I ain't gonna make them any more money than I have to. So no more of those Chevy ads for now for signed in members.
Maybe time for a crappie.com app
Slab do you know of an app similar to tapatalk that you like? Ie that shares more revenue? I wouldn't mind using something else, if I knew what to try!
Me either, what about forum runner?? I have it but just haven't taken the time to learn to navigate it.
Slab, your a creative type, so create something that will enhance your revenue and the membership can download as an app and make everyone happy.:cheers2
Like someone said, call it the Crappie.com app.:biggrin
Slab told me at one of the camps that he likes the forum runner app. Not sure if it's better for c.c or just because he likes using it. I have it but never really gave it a chance

If you are not logged in to crappie.com on tapatalk, you may still see ads.
And yes, Forum Runner is integrated in with vBulletin, and that may be the way to go. I had it configured to work with Crappie.com at some point in time, but I turned it off (can't remember why). Anyway, yes, I'll look into forum runner again. Thank you all for your support and suggestions. It is very much appreciated.
Actual revenue for Crappie.com is down bigtime in 2014. It's been a bad year. It's partly due to Tapatalk (smart phone) usage increasing (and us losing Google Adsense Revenue) and the fiasco I had with the vBSEO product at the beginning of the year. I essentially lost my place in the Google Search engine cause vBSEO went out of business and broke. So with all this in mind, your support here is greatly appreciated. Ask my wife, I've really been pulling out my hair this year.
Hate to hear that about the revenue Slab. More of us should be Crappie.com Supporters, especially those who frequent the site often. Thanks for what you do.
:yikes not that you aint got much to start with --nice long hair like ME
