Is it just me, or does everybody have a million flies this year?!?!? I've never seen 'em as bad as they this summer. Reminds me of being at Grandmother's chicken houses when I was kid. Can't even sit outside after work and enjoy a cold beverage.

Don't have a bad fly problem but the mosquitos are totting us off. It's that little bitty black one.

My pest control guy has some kinda fogging machine he uses to fog our yard. He targets Mosquitos and it really works. Not only are they gone for 3-4 months, so are the flies. Had it fogged the first of May and I saw a skeeter last week, got him, and that's all. I'll get him to do it again bout first of August and that will last till winter. I don't know what the chemical is, but he says it ok. Hope so.

The little bitty "no-see-ums" are killing us every time we go out in the evening. And this year is the year of the crickets for us. I am 42 and I have never seen as many crickets. If I was bream fisherman I'd be set.

Killed a cottonmouth in my squash yesterday, and saw another snake of unknown species outside our hen house today. He was gone when I got there with my gun.

I believe this is the year for Biting Flies, Crickets, and Snakes.

Killing a cottonmouth in your squash is scary. Them dudes are bad and that's a bad place for him to be.
