Wheeler lake

Just learned the fam vacation will be on wheeler lake over in Alabama in late July. Is it a good crappie lake? If so, do I need the minnow poles, jig poles, or crankin poles?

It's got a decent reputation as Crappie lake. It and Pickwick are very similar, if it were me I would target deep water structure and single pole. I think most of your fish will average from 3/4 to 1 1/4, but they will fight hard because they are river system fish.
