Ha ha, I did the same thing as soon as I got back home. Wish I had gotten the remote one, tho. Later got a remote from Acadamy and it works well.. I'd get it with the smoker if I were to do it again.

The Masterbuilt is the best simply because the walls are insulated, the ones that don't have insulated walls will not keep temp consistent if your using outside in the winter time, I watched Feesh cook one time on his and knew that the masterbuilt was what I wanted.
Thnks for all the info guys. Masterbuilt it is.
Don't know if you've pulled the trigger yet...but if you haven't...check out the Bradley Digital Smoker. After a lengthy bit of research I bought one back in December. It's worth every penny. It's insulated. It's digitally controlled (dial up the temp, smoke duration, and time you want), you can apply the exact amount of smoke you want, you don't need as much smoke as other smokers because it's very efficient. Also...if you ever plan to cold smoke anything...sausages, fish, cheese...there is no better "home" smoker than the Bradley. The only downside is that you have to use their fuel...they look like hockey pucks. It's not a big downside...I just bought a bunch of them to keep on hand. Can't say enough good things about this smoker.
I have a Masterbuilt 40" w/all bells and whistles. Remote Control is nice for monitoring the meat probe. I purchased it from Amazon for same price they have advertised here. Uses small amount of wood chips. I use is 2x week and I love it.

Got a Masterbuilt 40 that came in the day after the house fire. Hope to get to use it before the year is out.
We were looking over the Black Friday ads 2 years ago. Debbie said, since you're going to BPS get the Masterbilt 30 for $79. This past year the Masterbilt 30 didn't have the glass door and was on sale for $179. Glad I bought it when I did.
