I had purchased a few IM6 composite Mr. Crappie SS Rods for spider rigging and was pleased with the performance. With bream action heating up I thought I'd buy a shorter graphite rod. Well, the other day as I was unstrapping a rod from the ole boat, the Velcro strap caught the line of one of my graphite Mr.Crappie Slab Shaker rods, breaking the tip off. I thought to myself, dangit every graphite pole I buy ends up wit a broke tip.

So I searched the web looking for a replacement tip on the website and did not find any available. I completed an online customer contact submission asking where to buy an extra rod tip. Yesterday I was watching the UVERSE TV and the caller ID showed DO OUTDOORS. I had no clue who that was so I google'd it and found it was the company name of LEW'S who produces the latest versions of the Mr. Crappie line.

I called the number back and was quickly transferred to the person responsible for my customer service issue. Without hesitation, the representative asked for the model number. He told me OK Sir, looks like we'll be able to get that in the mail today and ended the conversation. Talk about a GREAT customer serviceexperience! I was expecting to pay for the replacement tip and the company exceeded my expectation. Thanks to MR. CRAPPIE/LEWS/DO OUTDOORS for exceptional service!

All good companies have GREAT customer service. I wouldn't expect anything less from Lew's or Wally Marshall. Both are proven winners!!!!!

Academy has a web deal on the 12ft Slab shakers for $18.99 each ( $11.00 shipping ), but they told the wife $24.99 when she stopped at their store in collierville Tn a little bit ago, she called me , and i told the sales lady about the interweb deal, she looked up the add , then she said she would honor the web price, so wife picked me up 4 more 12ft rods.
