I learned about the mayo on fries when I was stationed in Germany. (Bitburg) I also mix mayo, ketchup and hot sauce to dip my fried fish in. I don't add mustard, since I dip the fish in mustard and Tony's before the Zatarain's seasoned fish fry. And if you come near me with Miracle Whip, you better get ready to rumble!!!
We pilgrims only dip fries in brown mushroom gravy and our then we slice cut our green peppers into rings and fry them. Delicious!
Ate many many french fries with mayo during the 4 years(66 thru70) I was stationed at Det 1 out of Hahn.
