I have a 45lb bow mount tm that is variable speed.(mk traxxis) little over a yr old and I no longer need. Just curious if anyone in ms is in need of one before I put it in the classifieds. Shoot me a pm if interested.

On a traxxis, yes u can turn head around. Advantage is, u can bow mount it with the handle in pointed towards the stern and the motor will propel the boat forward. From the factory, the handle is pointed in the direction of travel.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Any advantage to a rear mounted trolling motor when pulling cranks? Any advantage to the hand controlled motor?

Its a little better at tracking of TM is on front. Hard to describe but the boat will jink a little in turns if TM is k&n rear. Longer the boat, the more noticeable.

Wish you'd have said something a couple months ago. I just bought a 45 lb thrust Endura c2 for my little john boat. WB, I looked on the MK website and didn't see where you could turn the head around.

The model is a transom mount. I flipped the head and made it a bow mount for my flatbottom. Used it to spider rig and jig the trees it was alot easier than a foot controlled when single poling
I'd rather have a tiller for jigging and cranking. When cranking just lock it straight and use your main motor as a rudder
I have a foot control on the front and I have 2 seat mounts in the rear so I run a 45 on the back sitting under my sunbrella while pulling cranks. That motor will run all day on a single battery.I don't have the money for a Terrova and I use a foot control for spidering, jigging, and pushing cranks. The boat is a 1650 Express and that 45 pushes it alright.I use my lowrance on the console running off the transom transducer!Sometime I push and pull cranks with a person up front and the other in the back.I can run both motors on a low speed and both battery's last all day with power to spare.I don't have a link or any of the high tech sonars just basic equipment.
