    Default Vehicle buying question--on ebay


    I was on craigslist and found a vehicle for sale that I am interested in for my son. The seller said the car was in North Ms. Well, to make a long story short, this guy has now got divorced and lives a few states away now. Says I would have to contact ebay now as the vehicle is sitting in a storage container waiting for shipment to its new owner.
    The guy did tell me the shpping to me is free and I would have 5 days to try it out before buying and if I didnt buy it, I could ship it back at no cost also. Has anyone on here ever did anything like this?? Sounds like a lot of trouble to me, but I could be wrong. Thoughts anyone?!?!?!

    Sounds suspicious to me. I was going to buy a 5th wheel camper from a lady on ebay who "got the camper in a divorce" and had no use for it. She was going to arrange for shipping from Kentucky at no charge. Sounded too good to be true, so after some investigation, it turned out to be a scam to try to get personal info from unsuspecting buyers. Just check out everything before giving them any personal or paypal information.

    I had several of those "kind" call me about my 542 war eagle. Nothing but scammers and cheaters.

    No.....Don't walk away......run!!!! Or you could play with them and suggest sending all of the money up front because you won it in a card game and don't want your wife to find it and all you need is their banks name and account number and you will send it right away.

    Your post implies that you have 5 days to decide to pay or ship it back. Bet he will want money first. If you want it back it will be halfway around the world.
