Tuffer the better, let her roll!
I Fished Wednesday thru Saturday jig fished only. Fished every creek but dew. Water temps started out in the morning about 68 and warmed to around 74. Caught 10,15,4,4, each day. Fished 2 to 12 foot. Best depth was 3 to 5 foot. Talked to others that found most of their fish in 3 to 5 also.
With all this rain all that will be changed!
I limited out the last 2 day at CLear Branch.....Or was it Coles Creek.....anyway i will pm you :biggrin
Fished Friday pm, and three of us cleaned 16 nice fish. Started at Long Branch and fished up toward the bridge hitting every bit of wood grass we could find. Fished out of Wallace/Hubbard Sat. AM lookin for 3-5 fow and wood grass. Cleaned 14 Sat AM. PM (4:30 till dark) cleaned 11 more. Late they were hitting on minners bein drug across the water, not standing still. Sunday we fished tll 8:00ish or there bouts, till the lightening run us off and cleaned 7 more. Every fish was caught in 3-5 fow, fishin 18" deep with minners. I had some of Donnie's gants and tipped them..(Thanks Donnie..you da man). No REAL big thumps, just lady like tugs.
All REALLY nice fish for this time of year, I guess. Everything in the 13-16 inch range. Thru back 6 fish the whole trip. All in all, pretty good trip. Might be the last till fall.
Yep....not very bloodie, and some were detached like they were ready to spew out. Not jammed packed though by any means. My guess is that were on the last 15% or less of the spawn, with an emphasis on the "or less". Jus thoughts.....
