I know what you mean. That's as bad as when you're pulling a camper and stop at Cracker Barrel to eat. The camper spots will have a car in them.

And let's not forget about folks taking up a handicapped spot when they don't need it.

There aren't any regular parking spots at the ramps. Where else them guides gonna park their customers?

It's non-boaters doing non-boater things. It's not that they're jerks. It's that they don't realize what they're doing. It happens in traffic all the time if you're giving plenty of space to the car in front of you and someone whips into your gap and slams on the brakes. They're not intentionally trying to cause a wreck. They just don't know any better- they are totally unaware of the fact that you need that space to stop.

Saw a couple of trucks parked in boat slots at Grenada with tickets on their windows last week! I assume it was a parking violation. Only the two trucks without boats had them. And there are slots at Grenada Landing for automobiles without boats!

So it is not a breach of etiquette as long as you park in the regular spaces?

In some pre dedetermined area! I don't feel it's any guides responsibility however. There were at least ten spots taken by non boaters at the point this morning. I don't know who with or where they were fishing.

Well you hit a sore spot with me. We were ful time RVers for 5 years after I retired and it made me so mad after a long day of travel to pull into the back of Cracker Barrell and see a little car sitting in the middle of a 50 ft parking space. Made it worse that there were a dozen car spaces that were closer to the entrance.
Did not happen that often, but sure was irritating.

On the boat ramp issue, how about the ones who don't prep their boat prior to backing down the ramp and spend 20 minutes loading stuff from the car, unhooking staps, etc.

Why they make Crown Royal, I guess.
