I was out back cutting my yard when a man I didn't know stopped by and said he thought he knew where my stolen poles were.He had talked to a friend of mine who fishes and it got around to him that someone had taken my poles.I got in his truck and right across the street from this mans house were 5 of my poles laying in the front yard. There's a lady that lives there and she has 2 daughters. They are backed up to Greenbrook Lake here in Southaven.I had given this young 11 yr. old girl several older rods and reels, spooled them with line, gave her hooks and sinkers so she could fish.I felt sorry for the girl cause she didn't have a daddy and her momma was away at work and she and her sister were alone a bunch.Well I rode over there and was able to get back 5 of the 10 poles that were stole!I hated to do it but I'm gonna have to press charges on this girl. The Police said she was a recent run away and had been skipping school and had made a call there earlier today.Another man drove up and he said he had a whole tackle box stolen from his boat. It was in the back yard just about empty.I also found 2 reels and a noodle that had a bunch of my trolling rigs that i had made. The Police got a report that the girl was in Mempho with her grand mother. He said that she needs to be taught a lesson and pressing charges would help her in the long run! Both these men that was looking out for me were crappie fishermen and there ain't no better breed! No offense to all you hunters! The Policeman said that when they do arrest her we may be able to get her to say where the other 5 poles went. What a afternoon!
