You big Guber, go get her and take her down to the lake. Then go by and pay the bill.

The bill is paid. My card is on file with all the utility companies

Can't drive on 40 in AR. Folks have been stranded in our area for up to 16hrs. She has a generator, and the water came back on this AM. I didn't have access to a helicopter, or I woulda gone to get her.

I wouldn't have minded that, but luckily for me, the Hiways are shut down.

We lost power in Midtown on Sunday evening and it's supposed to come back on today. We'll see. Gas stove, fireplace, and water heater kept us reasonably comfortable and fed. Ms. Wind Knot's Mom thought we were braving the elements rather than mildly inconvenienced. We'll see how it goes.

A bucket truck rolled through at about 11 last night and a MLGW fella stopped by yesterday to give us an update. on the progress. He saw my beard and rugged physique and figured I knew about everything electricity related so he went to town telling me about what was wrong with the power and why ours wasn't on. He said something about single phase and three phase and air conditioning and then lost me.

Can one of y'all explain old electricity leading to houses (my house) and three phase (not my house) like I was five years old? Then can someone offer an answer as to why it makes a difference when restoring power, again, like I was five.

This is what I know about electricity- You can't see it. Don't get it wet. Call an electrician. Worse comes to worst, run like hell if you hear sparks and see smoke.
