I've got some and played with them once or twice. They work ok, I just never have gotten in a situation where they would work better than just spider rigging. I could see using them to long line jigs maybe for prespawners?

I've run them a couple times at spider rigging speeds and that was too slow. I think they would work better at long lining speeds, but I don't long line jigs. They are too small for cranking. I've got 4 of them somewhere that someone else needs if I could find them.

I have a couple of the ones like Feesh has. Tried them and it takes a little speed to get them working right. I also think they would work Longlining but not spider rigging. Have watched a couple of videos on the planer bobbers and they seemed to work at a slower speed. I think the ones Feesh and I have are called SkiBobs or something like that. They have been around for years but fished mainly in the Carolina's with live bait for stripers in the rivers and creeks.

I asked about those on Face Novel, and the guy that makes them said they only worked with about a 1/4 oz of weight, maybe 1/2--mostly pulling jigs. He said they might work with Small Cranks.
