Are y'all talking about breaking the sickle jig or sickle Aberdeen? I've seen quite a few of the sickle jig hooks break at the 90 if they're not encased in a lead head. Not so much with the sickle Aberdeen.

I ain't been fishing them but about 2 yrs. but never have had 1 brake!

That's what I thought. I believe they are intended to have a lead head making up for the strength lost during bending. Try the sickle Aberdeens, they're tough and extremely sharp.Quote:
