Been usin one for several years. Mine has straight blades. Those take a little getting used to.
i know I need to get me a better one than the one I have.
I use one just like that and it does ok. Need to find better blades though
I would say 1-2 year life with reasonable use. First one I had lasted about 2 years before motor fried, I'm on the 2nd one now. Decent quality, not real expensive, around $12 at Walmart.
It will last as long as any of them!!!! I been using that brand for yrs.!!!!! I have tried just about ever brand and none lasted no longer! !!!

Heat is the enemy of all electrics. As long as you don't fillet more than 15 big crappie without letting it cool off, that Black and Decker will last quite a few years.
I have a hamilton beach like that one and its the best i've used.Mine is 2yrs old and doing fine,go buy you some shark blades and be happy.
