The mast is the same as what you are doing,only a lot less work. Once you put out the boards they stay out till your done fishing or move to a different area. If you get a fish on the outside board, with your system you let the first and second board out to fill that position then set the new line out inside its the same way with the mast only you let out line on the reel to let the line slide down the guideline to the outside and put your new bait inside. Its a fine setup and works well.
