kinda confused, i have heard this DD ownership thing in totally opposite directions. some say A & E owns the name and others say the robertsons own it. wish it could be clarified...

It said online what G said. Duck Dynasty is AE, and Duck Commander and Buck Commander is Robertson.

Look at the mercandise....all that is branded Duck Dynasty has A and E trademark right there with it....all Duck Commander does not have A and E on it. Aand E owns the Duck Dynasty name and the Robertsons own Duck Commander. A and E made $400,000,000 profit on Duck Dynasty branded items last year and the Robertsons got a small royality off of it and A and E got the bigger part of the profits. where the Robertsons Duck Commander branded items the Robertsons got 100% of the profits because they own it. The Robertsons own the Duck Commander wine for example....The Duck Dynasty cigars and Duck Dynasty beef jerky are owned by A and E. Most all of the pillows and t shirts and tea glasses in WalMart are Duck Dynasty branded items with A and E's name on it. Same with the stuff at Cabelas and Bass ProShops.....only thing they have that is Duck Commander is the duck calls that the Robertsons own. Do some google searches and you will see. This was even explained in the Fox new article about CrackerBarrel....Cracker Barrel it said was removeing the Duck Dynasty branded items and not Duck Commander.

They own Buck Commander as well I think.

Yes they do.......They also have their own line of Duck Commander branded items, tea glasses, t shirts, caps, sunglasses etc.

Phil started Duck Commander in 1971 and he and the rest of the family were very well off when A and E came to them ( they did not go to A and E...they did not need A and E then and they don't need them now. They made a lot of money for A and E
