    Default we're sound sleepers

Well I always suspected but have proof this morning. The pup got up as always at 6am wanting into the bed. It was a bit chilly in the house.
I cracked one eye open and no lights anywhere--told the wife-I think the powers out Well about an hour later I decided to crawl out of bed and go check the neighborhood. A few limbs down and one small powerline down--nothing major. Got back to the house and checked on my neighbor.
They were up and nice and warm (gas logs) They informed me the transformer at our house was on fire at 2AM this morning. I asked how in the world were they awake at 2AM. They said all the limbs breaking Man I had no clue--both of us were dead to the world. So I called Entergy back and let them know about the one powerline and about our transformer since they had called and said it would be 11PM before the power was back on--figured knowing a specific place to start may speed things along. Well I told the wife Im gonna go make sure the power was on at her parents and if so were loading up and heading that way since they are on a freaking cruise in the Caribbean. Well I grabbed the 45 (you never know) and was about to get in the truck when I heard a lowed pop and crash--went around the house looking for the source. Luckily it was a pine tree limb in the neighbors yard (didn't hit their house). As I was heading back to the truck I noticed the outside light start to come on--phone rang-the wife said powers back on . Been a lovely morning.

Man you are a lucky dude. Glad yall were ok!I hate when you don't have any control over what can happen. Ice on tree limbs and power lines and very low temps are all dangerous and take peoples lives every year.God was watching over you!

Good that you didn't get anything broke, or anyone hurt.
