Since he likes doctering, why not go ahead and buy the wooden blanks and components and let him assembly and paint. Janns netcraft, Barlow, Lurepartsonline dot com etc, all should have the wooden bodies for around $2 plus the rest of the hardware.

Of course I tried basspro and cabelas and didn't get anywhere. They both have had them in the past but I can't find them now. I tried the manufacturers I mentioned and got no where. I was wanting to get him several colors a variations but the only ones I can find are vintage stuff on eBay. I kinda hate to pay for vintage stuff cause he's gonna add paint and glitter to his satisfaction and the next 15 lb grinnel he catches is gonna make a mess of it. Any how here is what they look likeAttachment 144435Attachment 144436 any help finding some new ones would be appreciated, thanks in advance, Feeshrman
Find someone near you that has a wood lathe. Bet they can turn you some out. We make some like this for striper fishing. Buddy and I turn them on a lathe and add the hardware. It takes a long time per bait but sure is nice to catch them on one. Will look through my old baits, thinking I may have a few from a different maker. If so you can have them.
