Eagle and Bee lakes are in a restocked program now. From what I heard, they put in a total of 147,500 between the 2 lakes. They're stocking white crappie in both since they don't spawn well in either lake. In 3 or 4 years, both lakes will have some really nice white crappie in them. From what I heard, they put in a total of 147,5020 between the 2 lakes. THANKS so much

This is a good thing if they can reproduce. The asian carp will take their toll during spawn, but it's a step in the right direction. Thanks for the news, Don.
The MDWFP recently stocked over 600,000 fish into 16 different public water bodies across the state. Stocked fish included Redear Sunfish (50,000), Blue
gill (280,000), Magnolia Crappie (126,000) and White Crappie (147,000).
The Magnolia Crappie is a cross between the female White Crappie and the male blackstriped Black Crappie. The blackstriped crappie has a dark stripe from the dorsal fin down the top of the head and mouth to the throat. The Magnolia Crappie is a sterile crappie, making it an ideal choice to stock into small impoundments because it cannot reproduce and cause over population problems.
These fish were reared at MDWFP's North Mississippi Fish Hatchery located in Enid and Turcotte Hatchery near Canton. These fish will provide excellent angling opportunities for boat and bank anglers at all these lakes. For a complete listing of lakes stocked, click here.
