My friend has a browning a bolt stainless steel with a Zeiss on it and don't want very much for it bc he left it In a room that was very humid I guess and when he came back a long time later it has started rusting. It has a pretty big spot on the bolt and another place or two. Does anyone know if you can get someone to sand the rust spots down And recoat it with maybe duracoat or something? And how much do y'all think this would cost?

The dura coating is very good. It will not chip or flake and protects from rust. I don't know about removing rust from the bolt you may have to replace it. You need an expert opinion though.

We know a guy that can fix it for you but it would have to be shipped to him. He is law enforcement and he is very meticulous with his work. If you would like we can get you a number to talk to him about it. But he is at lake Washington thru the weekend and prolly will not talk about work until after the weekend.
