    Default Swing away tongue

We just moved into our new house. I built a garage at my old house for my boat, but I don't have one at the new one. The new one has a 3 car garage but isnt as deep as my old one. Long story short, my trailer is about 7" too long to be able to put on the 1 car side. Which leads to my question.
I have a Diamond city trailer and want to have someone put in a swing away joint in the tongue.
Has anybody done this to an existing trailer and does anyone have any recommendations for someone to do it in north MS around Olive Branch or Memphis?
MY dad is gonna talk with one of the welders that worked with him to see what his input is or if he can do it, but I figured I'd throw it out there to see if anyone had already done it.

Any "GOOD" welding shop can do it for you very easily. Here is a link where you can order one from:Compare Fulton Fold-Away vs Fulton Fold-Away | etrailer.com

I appreciate the info. I'm not a welder(Im an electrical guy) and rely on my dad for contacts for the welding(he was a supervisor at Kellogg in the maint dept)...he has a good referral for a welder, just didnt want to reinvent the wheel, if somebody had done it.

I put a bolt on one, on one of my boats. Hardest part is cutting the channel. Drilling holes should be done before you cut it. Gives you more leverage. Worked real well.

I have installed two of the bolt on versions and had Serwic Trailers on Elvis Presley install a removable tongue for the same reasons you mentioned. No trouble with any of them.

Well I just looked at ordering the fulton kit and when I measured my tongue for height and width it's 3" wide and 2 3/4" tall. Not a true 3x3. I called etrailers who referred me to fulton about the 1/4" difference and was advised not to use the 3x3 and they didn't have one to fit it. My seaark came with a diamond city trailer and I calle diamond city and they gave me their supplier, rockwell american. I called rockwell american and it was the same story...3x3 or 3x2. I dont want to put a 3x3 on it because Im afraid I weaken the tongue even with a spacer. Isn't there a dealer on the board over in west memphis that deals with Seaark? Wonder if they have any insight as how to approach this. Also wonder if Seaark is still using diamond city and if the tongue dimensions are 3x3 now?
