Salvaged A Day
I am gonna start by saying that this day was made possible by what I have learned fishing the Fruit Jars, patience and don't quit mostly.
Sun came up on a breezy Enid lake this morning and out of the East at that. Had talked to several that had fished it this weekend and had a game plan. Today was my first fall fishing trip to Enid so pretty much new ground.
Did as I was told in several locations and it just wasn't happening, decided to change gears, that or go home.
Dug around and found some 3 ounce weights and snapped em on, dug out some SatRunners and tipped em with a minner. Pointed the Terrova to the east, locked it on 1 mph and away I went.
Didn't go as good as I had hoped but it picked up, think I had 3 keepers when I started power trolling, 6 or 7 when I talked to Duckhunter at 230. Watched the sun set over the dam and called a day with 19.
Moral to the story is don't quit and don't be fraid to try sumpin different.
