A friend of mine asked if I knew of a good place to catch flathead around here. I put this queston on the main board under catfish but no reply as yet.

They are catching a few in the big 4 spillways........only a few, but big ones, and only on live bait.
Hit the yalobusha anywhere down river from Holcomb. All we used for bait was shad and other than the occasional white river cat all we caught were flatheads. We even managed a few nice yellows. Coldwater is another fine river for flatheads.
Grew up fishing the Yalobusha between Holcomb and Greenwood. I agree with Bigcrappiemax, there are some fine flathead yellow cats in there. Boat ramp at Holcomb and one at Greenwood......
