I have a 90hp ELPTO Mercury 2 stroke, I have the oil injection tank and all
still in place. My question is this, how long do I have after the low oil alarm sounds off ? I have had it to come on a couple of times when I come out of the hole but as soon as I get on plane the alarm quits sounding. I always keep oil with me and as soon as I get to where I can stop and put the oil in I do so. Reason I do this, is because I know when I go to load the boat on trailer it will be in a incline similar to what it is when I come out of the hole just before getting leveled out and on plane. Just wandering if I am over reacting (being anal) about stopping and putting oil in before I go very far ??
