XDs recall

Has anybody dealt with the XDs recall yet? They announced the recall back in August but didn't have a definite fix worked out til this month. Been waiting to hear some reports before I send mine in.

Vans here in brandon had them pulled off the shelf a couple weeks ago. Said something about a firing issue

It's for the XD-S models.
A chance of double fires is what the recall is about.
Dang, converting a semi auto to full auto made easy and they want to recall it.

My brother got the recall and was one of the first to send his back. They emailed him and told him that when they figured out how to fix the problem, they would fix his gun and return it. Don't sound good.

From the XD forum I've been on, it looks like some of the first ones that sent theirs in have started getting them back. The reviews have been mixed, which is why I asked about it here from people I know. I guess I'm gonna send mine in next week and hope for the best. At least they're returning all of them with an extended mag.
