The teeth on my bracket that attaches the motor to the boat are worn out. The motor flys up when u change speeds. I have a replacement from an older motor so I figured I would just take head off bothe motors, slide the bracket off and swap, then put the heads back on. Wasn't that easy. Guess I forgot there were wires that run through the shaft. Anybody done this before? Do I just disconnect the wires from the head somewhere?
