Fall Camp for a new guy...

So for someone who has never attended a crappie.com camp before, what is it? I get the impression it's a fellowship deal with the opportunity to put names and faces with the nicknames here, and there is a meal of sorts and a raffle as well. Am I missing anything? Is there a schedule of events, or is that too structured? If one is not staying on site, when is the best time to stop by? Will folks be fishing during the day and hanging out at night?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. Some folks will get there a few days early and camp and fish. Others will Come early the morning of Oct.12 and fish.....the big cookout ( fish fry) will be Saturday afternoon.....they will start getting ready to cook probably around 3:00 pm or there abouts.....then we eat, door prizes, raffle etc. Yes lots of night time gatherings and fellowship at the camp grounds too. Come on down we will be glad to have you.

Come on by....the cookout will be at the pavilion at J.P. Coleman State Park, Pickwick......A lot of us will be at the pavilion early just visiting and shooting the breeze.....then we will have some good food later on and we usually go to one of the campsites and vist some more after the cook out is over. Lots of good folks , I think you will enjoy it.

You did leave out the consumption of serious adult beverages! Other than that you hit it right on.Come and join the fun and fellowship. I'll be there the Wed. before and staying till Sun.Other's will show up for the day!This is my second one and I'm really looking forward to meeting folks that I missed the first time!Fun, Food, and Prizes! I found out they ain't as mean as you might think but most of them are ugly though!

cl, I haven't met WB yet formally so I can't comment on that at this time. He has only insulted me 1 time in 2 yrs. so he may feel the same way!I'm sure the future will change after we meet!

You will be glad you did. It's neat putting names and faces together. You're almost guaranteed to make new friends with similar interest, that's something we can all appreciate.
